Inland Refugee Society’s ESL and Life Skills program aims to provide refugee claimants with a practical understanding and usage of English in a Canadian context. These classes help refugees function in society by providing the language and skills necessary to fulfill their daily needs including finding a job, managing their finances, finding accommodation, shopping and accessing medical and community services.

Inland Refugee Society offers four levels of English for speakers of other languages:

  • Literacy
  • Beginner
  • High Beginner
  • Intermediate
  • High Intermediate
  • Advanced

New students must be referred by Inland Refugee Society 

Students that are LINC eligible or current LINC students will are not eligible to enroll.

Enrollment is limited to refugee claimants that are clients of Inland Refugee Society of BC only.

Space is limited and unfortunately not all that apply will be admitted.

Intake for English classes occurs throughout the year

Classes are held every Tuesday and Thursday.
School opens 6:00 PM
Classes start 6:30 PM until 8:30 PM

Our school is located in downtown Vancouver, close to Burrard Skytrain Station.
